Police say two people have been found dead at an apartment in College Station.
It happened just before 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Castlerock Apartments near University Oaks Boulevard and Bayou Woods Drive. College station Police received a welfare concern call, and when they arrived, they found the two people dead inside the apartment.
"I went to let my dog out and all of a sudden I saw cop cars lining up down the street and they were running," said Nick Newhouse, a resident at Castlerock Apartments.
Police have not yet identified the individuals, but neighbors tell News 3 they believe five people lived inside that residence.
"I know places nearby have gotten really bad with their crime lately, like the Marc for instance, but you don't think about it happening next door," said Newhouse. "It's kind of crazy, kind of scary. I didn't know them personally but I do feel for them and their family."
Neighbors describe the area as quiet and family oriented.
"We don't have a lot of college students," said Reese Clapperton, a Castlerock resident. "It's more family oriented. This is a shock and surprise."
"I've had a really great experience with the management here and I think that things like this happen and this is just kind of a lot of the world we live in, which is just really heartbreaking, but yea I feel safe here and I'm not worried," said Stephanie Friedersdorff, a resident at Castlerock Apartments.
