Bryan police arrested a man Friday for stabbing a family member in the neck.
Police got a call around 9:00 p.m. to the 1300 block of Ursuline in Bryan. According to the report, 24-year-old Joshua Lee Garcia stabbed a family member in the throat during an altercation.
Witnesses said Garcia was fighting with the victim over a piggy bank. During the fight, Garcia used some sort of metal tool to cut the victims neck.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated. Garcia is being charged with aggravated assault/family violence. He is still in the Brazos County Jail.
