A Bryan man says neighbors banging on the door is what allowed him to safely escape a house fire.
Around 7 p.m. a fire destroyed his home located in the 1000 block of Braeswood Drive.
The victim's family tells KBTX he was in the shower when the fire started, and he was able to get out after neighbors alerted him to what happened.
Crews are now investigating what may have started the blaze.
