A candid photo of Joe Biden spending some time with a homeless man in Washington, DC has gone viral and now social media is praising the former Vice President.
Biden took his granddaughter out a movie when he spotted a homeless man sitting outside the theater. He walked over to him and chatted with him for a moment and handed him what looked like a handwritten note. The candid moment was captured on camera and Paul Equale shared the photo on Facebook with the caption, "Joe Biden took his granddaughter to the movies in Georgetown last night... on his way out he stopped to speak w/ a homeless man. A bystander took this candid shot. Character is about what you do when no one is watching."
The photo has been shared more than 130,000 times and many are praising Biden for his kindness and generosity. However, others aren't quite as impressed and are downplaying the moment saying a lot of people give money to homeless people. Others have also cast doubt as to whether he really was unaware of the camera.
