An animal shelter took the unusual step in trying to find a dog a home by posting his profile on the human dating app Tinder.
Miranda Morrison, who works for the Animal Ark Rescue in Columbus, Georgia, listed the dog, named Henry, as 23 years old -- in dog years -- and even gave Henry some good opening lines, including: “Netflix and Nuzzles?”
The Tinder profile described a perfect date for Henry: a long walk, a break for swimming and lunch on a patio, with chicken nuggets or sweet potato fries.
Miranda said she attempted to play matchmaker for Henry because he’s a favorite at the shelter who enjoys people and other dogs. She knows there’s a perfect match for Henry out there, and that match might just be looking for a companion on Tinder.
