Tonight, Alabama faces off against Georgia in the college football championship game. Alabama, of course, has had an amazing run over the past few years, winning multiple championships -- and head coach Nick Saban has been compensated for all that success in a big way, earning over $11 million this season.
And, he might not be done earning, because a victory tonight gives him another $100,000 -- on top of the $300,000 in bonuses he already earned because of the games he’s won this year.
This all sort of makes sense because the Alabama football program makes about $100 million per year. An extra hundred grand here and there is no big deal.
But, all this money going to both the university and to Nick Saban is being generated by football players -- or workers -- who are getting paid zero.
