New York Jets wide receiver Jeremy Kerley was suspended for four games early in November when he was found in violation of the NFL’s performance-enhancing substances policy. He supposedly tested positive for some steroid named Turinabol.
Now, usually when these guys get popped for performance enhancing drugs, they plead ignorance or blame their nutritionist for slipping them something on the list of banned substances without them knowing about it. It’s better to deny, deny, deny, than to be thought of as a cheater.
Well, Jeremy did end up pleading ignorance. But instead of blaming a person, he blamed a ghost. Seriously.
When asked how a banned substance got into his system, Jeremy suggested -- out loud -- that a ghost might have done it.
