Garth Brooks took the top honor of Entertainer of the Year at last night's CMA Awards, but also took a bit of criticism for lip-syncing his earlier performance of "Ask Me How I Know."
Garth accepted the award and headed backstage to the press room where he was asked about the rumors on social media that he wasn't really singing. He said the rumors were true and explained, "We’re in the middle of 12 shows in 10 days. Not 10 shows in 12 days, 12 shows in 10 days. We did a game-time call on whether to sing the track or lip-sync, and decided to lip-sync. The voice just isn’t there anymore, and you want to represent country music as best you can."
