A campus police officer at Texas Tech was shot and killed last night and the university was placed on lockdown as authorities looked for the shooter.
Police at the Lubbock, Texas university say they were doing a welfare check of a student and found drugs and paraphernalia. Officers brought the student, 19-year-old Hollis Daniels, to the campus police station for questioning when he pulled out a gun and shot an officer in the head. He then fled on foot and the campus was placed on lockdown for about 45 minutes. He was eventually captured near the football stadium.
