READ: Garth Brooks will break a ticket-sales record tonight

Garth Brooks is set to topple his ticket-sales record tonight (Thursday) with the first of his five shows in Indianapolis.

He's sold six million tickets during his three-year world tour, topping his previous record of 5.35 million tickets, during his tour that started in 1996 and wrapped in 1998.

Garth told Billboard last month, “We started this [tour] thinking if we could get 50 percent of what we did in the ‘90s, we’d be very proud.”

He's expected to add another half-million tickets to the total by the time he plays his final show of the tour in Nashville in December.
