According to a new survey, 71% of employees said it was OK to friend co-workers on Facebook, but only 44% said it was OK to follow people you work with on Snapchat. 61% said Twitter was OK and 56% said following a co-worker’s Instagram was fine. Men and those 18-34 were more likely to say it was appropriate to friend work colleagues. Senior management was the least likely to want to be friends with employees on social media. Less than half of senior managers said it was OK to be friends with fellow employees on Facebook (49%), 34% were OK with Twitter, 30% with Instagram and 26% with Snapchat (26%).
