According to a new study, dating sites can’t predict who you are attracted to – and who is attracted to you. Researchers found that, yes, a computer can predict who’s hot and who’s not, but it can’t figure out what makes two people desire each other. The scientists were surprised that computers crunching all the data and analyzing all the tendencies were absolutely worthless in predicting matches. Of course, there’s still a purpose for dating websites. They narrow the field and allow people to efficiently meet others. But at the end of the day, there are no quick fixes. Romantic desire seems to be totally random. Or magical?
