According to a new study, the average age of a new father in the U.S. is 30.9 years old – which is about three-and-a-half years older than new dads just 40 years ago.
Also, over the past four decades, the number of new dads age 40 or older doubled from 4.1% to 8.9% – and the number of dads who were 50 or older also doubled.
