A shelter dog in New Jersey is being hailed a hero after sniffing out and rescuing 13 abandoned cats and kittens.
The shelter dog, named Robby, was out for a walk with a volunteer when he led the volunteer to a stack of boxes in front of the animal adoption center. Robby sniffed the boxes, until the volunteer opened them up to see what Robby was so excited about.
Inside were two adult cats, two six-month old cats and nine kittens, all of which would have been in big trouble if they hadn’t been found.
Thanks to Robby, all 13 cats are now safe and up for adoption at a nearby Humane Society.
