A lost dog returned home safely after surviving more than nine months in the mountains of Idaho during a brutal winter.
Last September, Darwin and Cindy Cameron were shocked and saddened when Mo, their 14-year old Chesapeake Bay retriever, wandered off. They desperately searched for Mo for months, but feared the worst, especially since this past winter was so brutal with big snowfalls and cold temperatures.
Amazingly, a farmer found Mo collapsed and in bad shape on a ranch and nursed her back to health. The farmer then posted photos of Mo on Facebook â and the search was on for the owners.
Sure enough, Darwin and Cindy finally learned that Mo was safe and were able to bring her back home, a staggering 288 days after she ran off.
Darwin and Cindy are proud of Mo for being able to survive the elements as well as she did and are thrilled to have her home.
Mo isnât quite yet back to 100%, but sheâs doing better every day and is expected to make a full recovery.
