Justin Korva of Rockwall, Texas, was so dedicated to his job that he regularly walked three miles each way to his job at Taco Casa. Many days, Justin battled scorching temperatures above 90 degrees.
Well, one morning Andy Mitchell saw Justin walking to work, gave him a lift and learned that Justin didn’t have a car.
But instead of just looking the other way, Andy chose to do something about it. He worked with the owner of a local pizza joint and put a donation box out for Justin. Amazingly, in less than 48 hours, members of the community donated $5,500 to get Justin a car.
Andy ended up getting a deal at the local car dealership, purchasing a 2004 Toyota Camry for Justin – along with a year’s worth of insurance and a $500 gas card.
The car was a complete surprise to Justin. He didn’t ask for it. He admits that he never imagined something like this could happen to him. But thanks to a new friend and the help of those in his community, he’s able to take care of his business much more easily these days.
