Scientists have figured out that it is harder right now to lose weight than in any time in human history. Sorry about that.
According to researchers, even if you work out as much and eat the same amount as people did in the 1970s and 80s, you're not going to get ripped nearly as easily.
The deck is stacked against you.
These days, you’re exposed to a lot more chemicals than people were exposed to in the past. All these chemicals mess with your hormones – and keep you fat.
Also, there’s prescription drugs which also lead to weight gain.
And then, there's the problem of the bacteria in your gut. Since the 1980s, everything has been turned upside-down, thanks to the artificial sweeteners that clog up your system.
So, do your best. Eat your spinach salads when you can. But also go easy on yourself because your skinny grandpa had a completely different deal.
