Police in Texas are confirming that at least one person is dead after a robbery gone bad at a mall. San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said two suspects tried to rob a Kay Jewelers in the Rolling Oak Mall in a suburb of San Antonio. In the aftermath, one of those Good Samaritans was killed when two people tried to intervene in the robbery. Five others were hurt.
The second Good Samaritan was licensed to carry a weapon and apparently shot the robber, who had just killed the first man, who was not identified at press time. The unidentified thief is being treated at a local hospital. Police are searching for the second suspect, who allegedly injured a man and a woman when he fired at them. The search for the second suspect continues.
