Jaren shared that after his dad passed away, they had to regroup as a band. So they took about 6 months off when the pandemic started to end, but now they're back in the studio, in better spirits, and ready to be creative again. The pandemic gave them some time to focus on new things. Their hope was that after their break, they came back with a more creative spirit. Jaren has still been writing music for several country artists like Keith Urban, Eric Church, Tim McGraw, Jake Owen, and Frankie Ballard. He admitted they will write the typical country song for those who want that, and that's how they get their checks.
When it comes to the band's music, they write and record songs that are unique to them. They don't like to chase after the typical sound, rather they have a mindset of "Do what you do, and people won't have a choice" meaning country radio won't have a choice but to play their songs because the songs are in demand. The band has been working on a new record, and they hope that some of the songs on there will fit for themselves, the fans, and country radio. While this is the longest it has taken them to put out new music, they do have some recorded and are ready to put it out.
Currently The Cadillac Three is on The Bandwagon Tour with Little Big Town and Miranda Lambert. They are enjoying themselves on the road, sharing a story about having a pool day at the venue complete with alcoholic beverages early in the morning before going to perform that night. They are typically ready to perform by night time even after a day of drinking, though Jaren said they only have to open up the show for 35 minutes. Another close country artist to the band is Brothers Osborne. Jaren revealed they often talk a lot about things that both of their bands are going through.
Watch The Cadillac Three perform their songs "Tabasco & Sweet Tea," and "White Lightning."
