Watch Jordan Davis Cover Iconic 90s Anthem By Tim McGraw

Jordan Davis covered Tim McGraw’s “Where The Green Grass Grows” when he appeared on a recent episode of God’s Country.

Davis delivered his rendition of the late 1990s single with brothers and podcast hosting duo Dan and Reid Isbell. McGraw released “Where The Green Grass Grows” on his 11-track studio album, Everywhere, which also included “It’s Your Love” with McGraw’s wife and fellow country icon Faith Hill, “Just to See You Smile” and more.

The McGraw cover arrived shortly before Davis released a new record of his own. Learn The Hard Way arrived on Friday (August 15) with “Bar None,” “Mess With Missing You” with Carly Pearce,”I Ain’t Sayin,’” “Louisiana Stick” with Marcus King, and more. Davis said before his album arrived that “my biggest fear is making the same record or not growing or not becoming a better writer, not pushing the boundaries when it comes to recording songs. I truly hope that people that hear this record can hear that, that we did something different. We took some chances. We changed things up in the studio. We approach songwriting differently. We tried to make something that we haven’t done before. I honestly think we did it.”

Dan and Reid — who have written music for Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Scotty McCreery, Jon Pardi, Lainey Wilson and others — started their weekly podcast in early January 2024. Some of the first guests to appear on the show include HARDY, Dustin Lynch, Colbie Caillat and others.
