Aside from his award-winning music and inspiring drive to connect with others, many people know Jelly Roll for his numerous tattoos. And although he’s said most of his tattoos don’t represent who he is anymore, the superstar singer-songwriter has shared some of the stories behind them.
The reigning iHeartRadio Music Awards Country Artist of the Year pointed out the stories behind a few of his tattoos during a previous conversation on The Bobby Bones Show in May 2022. Jelly Roll caught up with Bobby Bones about his music — including “Son Of A Sinner” and teasing his album, Whitsitt Chapel, which released the following year — why it’s important to him to help and connect with others, his family and more. When Bobby brought up Jelly Roll’s tattoos, he and the “Need A Favor” artist discussed a few of them:
- A cross
- A teardrop
- A rose
- A heart with a locket
- Noah (Jelly Roll’s son’s name)
Jelly Roll has previously talked about his tattoos in interviews, including when he caught up with GQ last year. He said at that time, “I regret 98% of these tattoos, 97%. Almost all of them. …The ones that were really bad have already been covered up.”
Jelly Roll is part of the star-studded lineup of the genre-spanning iHeartRadio Music Festival presented to Capital One, which is slated to return later this year to T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two-day festival will also include performances by Bryan Adams, Ed Sheeran, Feid, GloRilla, John Fogerty, Justice, Lil Wayne, LL COOL J, Mariah Carey, Maroon 5, Sammy Hagar, Tate McRae, The Offspring, Tim McGraw and more to be announced.
The 2025 iHeartRadio Music Festival will take place on September 19 and 20. Fans can tune in to the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Festival as the music mega event will be broadcast live each night via iHeartMedia radio stations throughout the country across more than 150 markets.
