Sam Hunt is a father of three!

Hunt and his wife of nearly a decade, Hannah lee Fowler, welcomed Baby No. 3 in late May. Son Weyman Allen Hunt was born on May 21 at 8 lbs and 6oz, and 20.5 inches long, per an announcement on Facebook by Cedartown First Methodist Church in Georgia. Weyman Allen joins big sister Lucy Louise, who was born in May 2022, and big brother Lowry Lee, who followed in October 2023. Hunt has not shared the announcement on his own social media accounts as of publication time on Monday (July 7).

Hunt caught up with iHeartCountry before he performed at the 2025 iHeartCountry Festival on May 3 in Austin, Texas. He said at that time that he had “a feeling I’m gonna have to start pulling my weight with these babies. My wife, Hannah, has been doing more than her share so far. I’ve tried to pitch in where I can, but I have a feeling with No. 3, it’s gonna be an 'all hands on deck' situation.” The “Outskirts” artists said he was “hunkering down,” and “preparing to really flip into ‘dad mode’ here in about three weeks,” at the festival in early May.

Hunt, 40, publicly revealed his wife’s pregnancy for the first time while talking with iHeartRadio’s Wayne D ahead of the 58th CMA Awards in November. Hunt and Fowler found out about the baby about two months earlier, he said at the time. The country star told Wayne D that he’s “obsessed” with dad life, and “I just feel very blessed to have another one on the way.”

“I think what I have enjoyed most about fatherhood is the sense of purpose,” Hunt previously said in a statement shared by his record label. “It’s deep, and it’s something I couldn’t have imagined until I experienced it. It gives such meaning to all, all that I’m doing in life, all the little mundane things that I might have done by myself before having kids, now have all this weight and meaning when I do them with my children. I’ve got my little girl who’s coming up on two years old who is growing and changing every day, and I’m having a lot of fun with her. I have my first son, just a few months ago, who is growing fast and a lot of fun.

“Lucy, Lucy the Ouise (Wheeze) — we call her Ouisy (Wheezy) — Ouisy’s having a big time with her little brother, and one kid feels like a family, but two kids now feels like a big family,” he continued. “And it’s a lot of responsibility, but I feel like I’m walking in God’s will now more so than I ever have at any point in my life. So, I’m just eternally grateful for these little miracles and smelling the roses and soaking it in every day.”

Hunt is one of several country artists to welcome a baby into the family in 2025. Others included Dan + Shay’s Shay Mooney, Elle King, HARDY and more. See the pregnancy announcements here.
