Keith Urban took a moment to pay tribute to Christine McVie during a recent performance. The iconic Fleetwood Mac singer-songwriter died on Wednesday morning (November 30) following a “short illness.” She was 79.

“Today we lost one of the members of Fleetwood Mac, the incredible Christine McVie, who was amazing,” Urban said during a heartfelt moment on stage in Gold Coast, Australia. “For me, growing up listening to their music, you had three incredible vocalists in that band.” Urban highlighted the unique talents of Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks and McVie individually before performing a three-song tribute in McVie’s memory. Urban performed "Say You Love Me," "Everywhere" and "Songbird," and his social media followers praised the beautiful moment in McVie’s honor.

There are no words to describe our sadness at the passing of Christine McVie,” Fleetwood Mac said in a statement earlier this week. “She was truly one-of-a-kind, special and talented beyond measure. She was the best musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone could have in their life. We were so lucky to have a life with her. Individually and together, we cherished Christine deeply and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. She will be so very missed.”

Urban’s tribute to McVie was one of many shared by musicians who have taken moments to remember her.
