Iron Maiden Launches Limited-Edition Trooper Beer Just For Halloween

Iron Maiden's Legacy of the Beast tour stopped at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul

Iron Maiden is releasing a limited-edition beer just in time for Halloween.

In a collaboration with Robinsons Brewery, the heavy metal band's award-winning Trooper beverage will receive a Halloweeny makeover this fall with its special "Trooper Day of the Dead" label. Starting now through the end of November, beer lovers will be able to enjoy the signature taste of Maiden's iconic ale, with a brand-new bottle design featuring their mascot, Eddie, wearing a Day of the Dead-inspired costume. With packaging inspired by Mexico’s annual Dia de los Muertos (October 31 - November 2), the drink pays homage to the holiday that celebrates the dead to honor ancestors and loved ones who have passed away.

Maiden teased the arrival of their limited-edition beverage in an August 20 press release.

At the time, Trooper Brand Manager Sam Kennerley gave the following statement about the launch: "We are delighted to be bringing our loyal drinkers a new, limited edition, look for our award-winning Trooper. The timing couldn’t be more ideal with Day of the Dead just around the corner and Iron Maiden continuing on their sell-out Legacy of the Beast world tour with stadium & arena shows, fittingly, in Mexico and also Brazil (Including 100,000 people at Rock In Rio), Chile & Argentina in September & October. We hope that our drinkers will enjoy the tribute we have paid to Mexico’s time-honoured tradition and will pick up a bottle whilst it is available between October and November."

This new Day of the Dead venture comes just weeks after the group unveiled a set of 16 album-inspired collector bottle caps on Trooper beer in late-September.
