Kelsea Ballerini Just Collaborated with Ed Sheeran

Kelsea Ballerini has got to be in love with how this shaped out.

The CMA Female Vocalist of the Year nominee surprised fans Thursday (10/11) by casually revealing her latest co-write session found her collaborating with well-known Nashville songwriter Ross Copperman and pop superstar Ed Sheeran.

Kelsea captioned an Instagram Stories post with “reasons to come home for 12 hours.” “You know, just got home, got off the plane, wrote a casual four songs with,” she says in the video as she begins to pan the camera to reveal her co-writers. “Ed and Ross. It’s fine.” The “Shape of You” singer’s co-write session with Kelsea and Ross comes just after he brought his Divide World Tour to Nashville’s Nissan Stadium. Ed then surprised Nashvillians a few days later by sitting in for a performance at the city’s historic Bluebird Café.

For Kelsea, the news comes just as “This Feeling,” her new collaboration with pop supergroup The Chainsmokers, is beginning to gain ground. Kelsea continues opening act duties on Keith Urban’s Graffiti U World Tour until November 3, while Ed’s stadium wraps in the U.S. on November 9.
