Two College Station Women Arrested For Child Endangerment

Two College Station women remained in the Brazos County Jail late Sunday after being accused of leaving a group of children unattended for several hours the day before.

College Station police said officers were called to the 1500 block of Valley View Drive just before midnight and discovered five children, 5 months to 11 years old, were left unattended in unsafe and unsanitary conditions.

Some of the children were released to responsible parties, and others were placed into custody of Child Protective Services, authorities said.

Elizabeth Pineda and Kassandra Gaona, both 25, were charged with abandoning or endangering a child, a state jail felony punishable by up to two years in a jail and a $10,000 fine.
